Yes, Akerman is the 26th. Let's hope it's cooled off a little by then. You guys nearby bring a shovel. Let's whittle that bank down some more for easier access!

I was going to have a 1/10th scale Coors Light built for me. Bought the laser kit and had it sent to the builder. In the meantime, I found a carbon fiber hull and cowl (more money) so decided to buy it instead.

So, the kit is for sale! I thought I'd offer it here first before the swap shop. Trying to recoup my actual cost, $220. Beautiful kit WITH the sheeting.

    Same here.

And Bill, I live in NW Bradenton (34209) so I'm probably only a few minutes from you, plus I have the retrieve boat (and homemade oars) the club bought from hippie. Just let me know whenever you want to go down there.

I'm down in the Bayshore area so it may be more than a few minutes but still not real far. Tried to call you yesterday after getting your email but guess you musta had your phone off or something.

My 1/10th scale vintage hydro I bought from Rod Sonata came today. OMG! It is absolutely beautiful! This guy is one hell of a builder. Wait til you see it guys! I'll bring it to Akerman but won't be running it. Have to add motor. Didn't get a shaft so I have to get back to him on what I need. I know it was set up for a wire drive.

Where do you guys meet and where ? I see there are two lakes that you frequent.

My young son and I have a couple of boats and would enjoy watching and learning ...

Nothing too serious or competitive yet just in a learning curve.

    Thanks

I ordered a set of oars for the retrieve boat and bought some oarlocks. Personally, I think it's easier and faster to row than to twist up like a contortionist to use the trolling motor. You'll have your choice of which to use. If more people like the oars, I'll stop hauling that heavy-ass battery and the trolling motor around!

It looks like I'll have my UL-1 in time (fingers crossed) for Ackerman on Sunday.

I'll have 4 boats along with me. DF 33 & 41 copy, UL-1 and Genesis. My buddy Alex is "supposed" to be bringing his 60" MTI and little HOR cat.

Sounds great! I'm going to bring the Miss Eagle Electric even if just to show. Got the wire drive shaft and collet in yesterday. I need to call the builder and ask where he had her balanced, what size lipos he ran, etc.

Also will have LSH, LSO, P mono, Q Offshore, Tunnel

From I-75 take the Fruitville Road exit to the 1st light if coming from the south. 2nd light if coming from the north. Turn right at the light and follow the road about 3/4 mile to the lake. (on your right)

    That looks like it.
Now we just have to hope the 50% rain chance the local news is giving is for the afternoon and evening hours.

Waaay back there somewhere. Here's directions. Take I-75 to exit 210, Fruitville Rd. Go east to first light. Turn right. Follow back to the lake. Take second road to the right and come back in along the lake through the parking lot in the industrial park.

I'll do my best to remember the signs and put them out on my way in. It's been a little on the cloudy side here today but no rain so far. I think the reports are calling for the rain in the latter part of the day. It's humid but the clouds have done a good job keeping the heat down today. Hopefully we'll have the same tomorrow.

I went to a flying event for 6 hours today. No rain, very little wind. Never got that hot. Hope tomorrow is the same in Sarasota!
