What did who order?
Oh no not another Riddler
Just trying to keep in the spirit of the group. With a couple of hints it should be an easy guess. I don't have a bent rudder to give the winner though.
I't already been named amongst the 1/10 scale roster, it's a modern and comes from a reputable company.
I don't think there will be a problem with the 1/8 scales in our pond, but I don't think you'll see 5 to 8 boats at the same time, I'm thinking 4 would be very exciting.
Although that decision would be up to the people running them and the safety officer, safety is the prime concern .
I'm pretty sure we will be running the 1/8 mile format, if we went to 1/6 it would be to tight . I'll see the guy's today and discuss this with them. Seems like we looked at it before and decided there wasn't enough room .

As I said, Ken Haines told me it will be the 1/8th mile.

Yea I know Jim, when I said 1/6 was to tight I meant not enough room for lanes outside the bouys.
I was looking today and all we could do is maybe 20 ft on ea. end and thats not enough to make a 1/6 mile course, then you would have a problem with the offshore bouys.
I'm with Ken and Rick (we are the three FE officers of the club) on this and we will be running the 1/8 mile.

1/8 is fun more turns. Just please make the bouys more crash friendly lol.
Jason Sims
Jason,
Line6 as in the amps?
Boats don't win races, drivers do.
Their lake would no way imo support 1/6 for a field that the nats will bring..great as it is.

The bouys will be fixed Jason, what color do ya think we should paint the new bouys as there kinda rusty ?
We got a deal on them from the USCG, used but still in good shape.
The bell on one of them will probably get annoying but I think well get used to it. LOL
The course will be 1/8th mile, with supersoft bouys.

The Riddler strikes again
How many do we have coming to Archie's for Saturday?
I'll be there unless it's going to be by myself.
I wont be able to make it ( baseball has cranked up again). I am going to run on my lake saturday @ 4:00 if anyone would like to come by.
Osprey, I will send the DF with Jim.

I will be there converted the 1/10th scale to turn left last night, had to relocate turn fin, cut new flex shaft for X442R prop and install 5.5 mm connectors on SV27 motor that I will run in 1/10th. Sorry Super V you are now officially a dust collector.
I received a phone call from the head of a professional center in Tampa Palms. He offered us the use of a 10 acre lake. The setup is incredible. Lakeside parking lot, couple of steps to the water, very gentle slope. Lake is 1377' feet long and over 300' wide. Close to everything....restaurants, hotels, etc etc etc. Easy to get to, right off I-75. It's in north east Tampa area.
Now for the bad news.... the lake is so weed infested there's no way! I am bummed! HighNDry suggested we ask the owner for permission to put carp in the lake. It wouldn't be usable for this year but maybe next. Don't know. Guess I'll pursue that.

That is one nice sized lake. Shame about the weeds.
Get it stocked with carp and then pita will probably have something to say about us abusing the fish.
Haha. We won't tell the bunny huggers...OK? Besides, we are giving the fish a nice home with plenty to munch on! I'm gonna call the guy today.
