    Q- OFFSHORE

I do like the spec classes it gets a lot more people raceing which is the goal but I don,t want to give up on the outher classes at the same time. I think a mix is good.

Absolutely! Gotta have a mix of boats and classes but I'm also really pushing for as many SPEC classes as possible. The requirement to use the small selection of motors equalizes things a bit, giving the newbie a chance to be competitive.
Next we will do P SPEC Tugboats. Haaaar!

If my back doesn't get better, I need a 'staff' to load the car, unload the car, set up the table, get the boats ready, put 'em in the water, hand me the transmitter while I'm in my easy chair lakeside ready to race!

    Hahaah. Any volunteers?

IF, and it's still a big IF, I can run by then, it will be P-mono and LSH unless I can get my Spec rigger going by then. I doubt it.

Please don't forget, we need a few SV27's. Don't want to scare Rick away before he gets his P-Mono built.

Heck Hugh, I'm just tryin to get my P-Spec rigger done so Mikey doesn't feel alone! Seriously, I have a Spec tunnel, just won't have time to ready it before race day.

    All the best.

I've been shopping for a good used SV27 for months. Idiots on flea bay want rediculous prices for beat up boats. If anybody has one they want to sell for a REASONABLE price let me know. The ONLY reason I want one is to get more people in that class. It's not that I'm crazy about the boat!

I hi nk I am going to build a DF25 knock off with an SV or UL1 setup. You can get the hull shipped for less than $70.

So the goal is to make a SV27 run with a Spec DF25? Doesn't seem quite fair to me.

    Just tossin out some thoughts.

Don't worry it won't happen for a while. I might have to build a tunnel or rigger the way things are going.

Hopefully we can get some others to build some spec monos or cats eventually.

Good point Ray. The SV27 wouldn't have a chance against the DF25 in my opinion. I have a DF25 also but the only thing it is going to fit in, class wise, is N2. That would be a fun class and Mike Martin has proven it is a 'streak'! hah.

Don't forget to bring your checkbook to the gathering in Sarasota on the 26th! The county requires NAMBA and club membership to run on the lake because of the insurance. Please fill out the membership application I emailed you and bring it along with your check. I don't want to have to 'police' the situation and deny anybody running! Help me out here guys!

I plan to be there with my SV27... and Seawind... LOL. Don't have the NAMBA membership confirmation yet. Had to use snail mail. Also bringing someone new with an SV27. Will we be able to run?
If not, I guess I'll volunteer to be the gopher for Jim
