There is some good news to report! The lady from Sarasota County called me a couple of days ago to inform me they were drawing up the plans for the steps at Akerman (railroad ties) so they should have them installed soon! WOW! You better alter your opinions of government employees! She's really excited to have us there. Refreshing to say the least!

Once we get the steps, I'll start talking about some other amenities. A small launch dock would be nice. haha. What we really need is a 20' Conex with a driver stand built on it so we could keep the retrieve boat there!

Got the same tape-friendly cabover hatch as mine, and probably the latest and greatest sponson mods too...The quality of his builds is second to no one. Thats gonna be a rocket. You get my raptor running right and i'll share my set-up w/my Racer whip.

Still early to say for Sunday but the weekend is supposed to be nice. Sat shows about a 3 mph breeze from the east in the early morning and climbing to about 8 mph from the south by 11:00 am.
If Sunday comes up the same it should be a great day for playing at Ackerman.

Looks like I might not make it again! I had an injection in my hip yesterday under general anesthic. Doc told me to stay off the leg for a couple of days. Pretty sore. Not sure how I'll feel on Sunday. DAMN!

Sunday is looking almost like a carbon copy of Sat. Light from the east in the early morning and building to around 8 from the south by lunchtime. Looks like I may get to run the 1/8 Miller on glass for a change.
Planning to bring it, the just finished Sprintcat, DF-33 (now fitted with Swordfish 200) and the Genesis since it hasn't been wet in a while. May bring the 47" mono as a backup for pulling the 33's packs down just in case the gremlins find something else to blow up in it.

With only 3 of us "regulars" showing up it didn't take long to get the vids from today done. (when all 3 of us were running at the same time the camera didn't get any use)
The test runs are up and linked on RCGroups though.
I think the Miller is getting really close to being race ready now.
