Default Waiting for stock: Hughey flexshafts

    Hi Steven,

I've been watching your store everyday for a month waiting the Hughey flexshafts to come back in stock but nothing? What's the expected date for availability ?

I need both clockwise and counterclockwise rotating flexshafts, two of each.

Eds been having some health issues. So he's been very behind. I got some .187 to .187 in the other day. Working on getting more.

Thanks Steven, I've taken 5 from your new stock arrivals.

Now I start to wait for the X442 447 and 447R props.

    D. Smock;
I know that Tim Jones from the Chesapeak club REALLY wants to go up to Ed's and learn to make the flex shafts and would love to possibly take over the flex shaft production.
    Only time will tell.

I am also waiting for some MORE 3/16" reverse rotation flex shafts to come in.

You will pay dearly to geut his methods....i make them with the same stuff...from ed. Technique is the key...i wasted plenty before getting it right but i use regular stubs. Hate to see ed having issues...great man and i have learned a lot from him.

That would be great. I talked to Tim for a few minutes at the Shoutout, he seems like one of the good guys.
Jeff we've all learned a lot from Ed weather we know it or not.

Ed is VERY pickey about how its done. If Tim is good, then Ed will let him do them. HE has had several people try to do it and not really alot of success. At least thats what he told me back in the Nats at MI, about 2005.

I hope he gets well soon, you're in my prayers Ed!

I'm looking for a couple also, step downs to .125" with pinned DD. Would like a L & R if I could get them.

I turned down the offer to get Ed's technique. At the Nat's I asked him, he hmm'ed & haa'd and then he said I'll tell ya if you just use it for yourself but, I turned it down... Just kind of out of respect really.

In hindsight, I wish I had let him tell me and I should have spent more time with him too at night after the races.

Oh well, it is what it is...

He made a bunch of the .187 stuff. The other smaller stuff has still not come in, but is covered by the octura line.

    Any good news on this?

I am waiting for the 1/4" to 3/16" step down Hughey flexshafts for my electric MHZ Kiton project. Both L and R spinning models needed. They were out of stock for months.

    Thanks Steven.
