Turnigy h3126 1600kv outrunner on 5s

I recently purchased this motor as I thought it would go straight in the venom clamp and run nicely on 5s. Well it's a direct replacement and today was the first day I tested it out, my setup is the 3126 1600kv turnigy motor, 90a seaking esc and x640 prop. Using a 2s and 3s 5000mah 20-30 turnigy lipos in series. My first impressions were this is fast, no gps but I would say around 45 but deffo faster than stock. I will try and get some vid up but it's a bit cold to be boating in the UK at the mo. For pics of the motor fitted see my other thread "will this be a direct replacement motor"
Just to add after a good 5 mins the batteries and esc were cool. The motor was warm but not really hot

Yup, exactly the same rpm. The only advantage over the stock motor is to use a bigger prop for more speed or to run it on 6s. You could probably get away with a x642.

I will have to get used to using 5s at the mo, it was completely out the water a few times, I think weight may be an issue on 6s but the x642 is deffo an option

I did ask my dad to do it with my iPhone but he's a bit of a technophobe and he didn't do it properly so will try to get some if we get a nice day but it's freezing in the UK at the mo!

I have these motors in 2200kv.

That's cool to know it's a direct clamp in!

PS, you might also want to try the 9 series props. More pitch and less prop size. Use FE Calc to determine which one, but they will help get around the tight prop space on the P1. Like a y935 or y937.
