The R/C boat retrieval part is a side benefit... Hunters getting their kill primary...

Yah... I knew they were doing this, but hadn't seen it. Pretty cool! Looks like an impeller driven jet pump under there. Small unit, but I'm sure someone will find another use for it!

    Just kind of fun...

    What, no surface drive???

While I don't condone hunting....at 13" it should make a great retreival "duck" and can fit easily in my already overfilled SUV.

I think it's a great idea. After you wow the crowd with the speed of your boat, then you can wow them with this little setup. For the single guy, this could probably be a "chick" magnet. No more dragging noisy, messy little puppies around!

You have NO IDEA! Hunting, fishing, boating (big ones and toys). Yup, he's avid all right!

    Plus he's a great cook.

The jet drive is pretty neat. I'm sure somebody will make a mini ski boat or something with it.

I don't have a duck, but I do have a rc goose. I made it from a decoy, and spare parts. The kids love it,but the swans hate it Larry

I had one made from a goose decoy 20yrs ago. It had the guts from an electric squirt gun running up to his mouth. Had alot of fun with it and kids fishing from docks. I still have it down in the basement somewhere. Might be time to dig it out and do an update on it.

After much debate we decided to make it squirt out of the beak! My father-in-law used to love watching geese and walked up to it slowly and I let him have it. He laughed about it for weeks. Maybe thats why he used to look at my wife and smile at her and ask her "what were you thinking". LOL

Did someone say "brushless racing duck"?

Inspired by the overpowered duck with the round bottom that is jumping all over the place in the video above I wanted to make a FE duck that actually handled well, i took the top half of a duck shaped pond ice breaker/decoy from a local garden centre, and the bottom half of a JB marine Sloopy (an F3/F2 class boat from the '90s (in effect an ECO before the ECO class existed)) and mated them together, added a Mega 16/15/3 3000kv motor, 40A ESC, 3s1p A123, parallel flex drive submerged setup, unknown 29mm metal submerged prop, and microservo in the neck that moves the head left/right with the rudder via "Y" lead.

All we need is for Proboat to make a larger Jet Drive, Then we can start a NEW boat class, Sprint Boat Racing..( Super Vee motor combo )Check out the videos on you tube. The only thing would be the race course. Flat out full power, hang on and just steer!
