Can someone show me a picture of a air dam on a UL-1 or similar? Not sure what or how or where it should go. Thanks.

Scroll down. Or you can make one out of tape. Position you gonna have to play with. Should go between the sponsons on the bottom of hull.
Do a search using " UL-1 air dam" on OSE and RRR and your going to get some good info. Here's the basics for the UL1.
Seems you can use pool noodle cut to shape like the "L" shaped plastics we see being used. You dont have to buy anything from anyone to get the right materials. Go down to your local home depot/ eagle hardware/ whatever and get a 7" long, 1/2" by 1/2" plastic/lexan "L" shaped corner/ edge protector or if they have aluminum angle stock buy a 1 foot piece. Use some double surface foam tape or even just use hatch tape and put it in place. It needs to be approx 2 1/2" behind the leading edge of the sponson bridge or center section depending on how you define that part of the hull.
I have tested and found that a 3/8" x 3/8" works as well if not better then the 1/2" stock. But it seems more folks have added comment using the 1/2" material and I am not going to debate the size. Use what you like. It turbulates the trapped air and keeps the hull from lifting. Just like the wing of an aircraft. Something this simple can add more then 10mph on your top end.

Change is the one Constant
Go to the hardware store and get the clear plastic edge trim for sheetrock corners and trim it down to whatever you want

can anybody post an image of the air dam installed?
would this be a good upgrade for stock configuration or only hotter setups
another pic
On my UL1 i found as soon as i started getting over about 45 mph with the bigger pitch props like m445 / m545 it was needed big time
Got it thanks for the quick reply will be trying it tomorrow see what my UL will do over all it runs good .
i wonder if this would help me keep the deuce planted esp when running into the wind she gets real light around 53 mph
I try it I dint like it felt like it was slowing down thats my take on it IMHO
what if you changed angle from 90 and started bending it back twords 45 a little by little?
I just tape a drinking straw across the full length of the tunnel to my shovelnose hydro and it makes a huge difference keeping her on the water.
