I'm pretty positive I saw in another thread here that Patrick will be refunding Steven the difference. Sucks, but could be a lot worse than that.

Steven said he will be getting more of the 1520 coolers, not sure on the 1717s. That's the only reason I held off on getting one of those also.

I just ordered friday morning... standard shipping. I was shocked when I opened the box. I ordered more later in the day and still don't have a shipping confirmation though...

Did they give you any idea how many are left? I ordered a 1520 already, but am considering grabbing a 1518 also.

They did not say how many they had, the guy would not tell me..
I was told that the orders now could take a few days longer because their computers are having issues keeping up
I place an order for 4, and now deciding of what the heck to put them in

Hundreds... minus hundreds of orders... I wouldn't expect this to last much longer.

I'm really curious about the 34 38 1100KV Outrunner. I can't find the specs on it anywhere.

We do not have any additional information available for the outrunner motors. These were limited run motors and no additional information is available to us. The are comparable to other motors in the same size, like an Axi or Scorpion motor. I apologize we do not have any additional information.

Guess I'll get two and burn them up. Then have some specs to work with.

Glad to hear Patrick came through. Have to agree he should have given all of us Castle dealers a heads up though! I AM anxious for the ICE H20!

Heh, Just a heads up, Castle messed up the early friday morning 1717 motor shipments. They sent the 1717 air version by mistake. I have the air version here, they are going to send one out and swap it.

As many motors as they are probably moving right now, I can see that happening. I know the guys at RC monster have been scooping them up too.

They said the sales girls are frazzled busy... I'll bet this mix up didn't help.

I had a second order that was completely missed, so if you placed an order but didn't get an invoice yet, contact them, it might have been floating in their system.

So what happens if they send the air versions and they have no more of the others to swap?
I have two 1717s on their way..

Yeah, looks like its widespread. Whoever setup the Sale page got the part numbers all mixed up. I have ordered 2 1717, and they sent the air version. Now I gotta send those back to CC.

A sales nightmare... and not-so happy customers.

Although, knowing Castle... they would offer an equivalent.

Could be. Just remember that the motors we purchased came with no warranty. You get a junker out of the box and if you didnt cut the wires or grind on the case or somehow modify it you just might qualify for a refund. But I doubt a replacement is in our future.

You may as well call in your order sounds like they are screwing up on all the 1717 1580kv motor orders.

Technically, the part numbers for the 1717 cat motor was entered wrong into the system, therefore everyone who ordered online via CC got the airplane motor instead of the car version. Data entry error!!

isnt the air version the same as what we want?
couldn't we just use them without issues?

The air version has air holes in the front of the motor, but most significant difference is the can, it has two flat spots milled into the fins. Whether or not the water jacket will fit without leak is the big issue!
