I just tested a swordfish in a boat with the 2000 firmware. When the throttle is dropped from 100% to 0% there is a tiny throttle delay. When I say dropped I mean as quick as possible. Its less than 1/2 second if even. I cant see an issue with it at all.

Thanks Steve, I was very curious seeing as I bought one of the first ones out.

Ran mine yesterday as well with the same firmware. No issue at all. Very slight delay but it is barely noticeable. Easy to get used to.

I have a Swordfish 120 and a 200LV. The 200LV runs-on about 1/2 sec. after you chop the throttle. The 120 does not.
Try it out of the water...it's easier to notice the difference.

How often are you going to do that?

I did notice it on the bench though.

My sons run 2 of them. We never noticed until someone mentioned it a long time ago. Even then I really had to look hard.

I dont own one boat that comes to a halting stop when I let off the throttle, no matter what esc is in it. So I really never notice any slow down spooling of the motor.

As long as Steve says it's not noticeable I'm fine and do not care.

Still need to try it, lol... this weekend I hope.

Just thinking from an electronics background, but I'm thinking this is a good thing. It allows the current to wind down rather than excess current being closed by a gate somewhere in the circuit.
