    Default Turnigy 180

Has anyone used a Turnigy 180 with 6S pack? .... was it successful? or any comments.

I have used it with my 4S with no problems so far, but would like to try it on my 6S rigger.

I have been running a HV hydra 180 (Castle), but it got wet on the weekend
and it looks like a repair job.

    Cool

It is my practice - and that of a lot of other experienced boaters - not to run an ESC at its maximum voltage rating. Some get away with it fine, but IMO it greatly increases the chances of an ESC meltdown. As long as you keep the amperage down you will probably be fine, but try for that extra 10 mph and you definitely are at a higher risk.

    Default turnigy 180 on 6s

Ran my Turnigy 180 on 6s with stock Proboat 1500 kv motor and blew the esc in two runs. Supposed to be able to handle, but do so at your own risk. I have two others on 4s with Neu 2200 kv and Feigao 8xl and no problems. Good luck.

I believe the statement Fluid made is correct, but if you wish to push the envelope go for it.....a lot will depend on your setup for success or ??? and a trip to the LHS may be in order after that experience
