    Question A quick ?

    With this kit http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...svcable&cat=52 do i have to use the teflon linear also ??

    It slides in the brass tubing. The stock SV27 seems to come with a 2 piece section of liner. Not sure why, but it is commonly found as such. Its easier to insert with the stinger off the hull. But you can get it in from the motor side too.

    Yes remove the motor and the strut bushing then push new Teflon liner into tube and cut to length and your done runs much smoother.

    i wouldnt use the liner cause mine melted to my flex shaft , but thats just me i gues

    How did it melt it? It's teflon and should be lubed any way. You may have something not lined up right. The one in my boat is a year old and looks new.
