    Default Motor cleaning question ?

Manual says to clean out the motor after a day of running with a water displacment---WD 40 or Corrosion X and then re-oil bearings. I have both and bearing oil. The Seaplane guys swear by Corrosion X for radios and speed controls but NOT brushless motors. In fact some warn do NOT use in your motor. Whats everyone thoughts on this. Thanks for the help.

Maybe they are confused and thinking back quite some years ago when corrosion x was not good for electronics. In fact if you have corrosion x that has a 2004 or earlier date I would not use it for anything electronic. It was known to delaminate the PCB boards of your esc, rx and servos. It might have been fine for some items but it was not initialy designed for electronic circuit boards. Thats not the case today. Many RC enthusiasts enjoy using it on just about anything in our hobby.

    Nothing to do,

ONLY fine oil in ball bearings, sewing machine oil is perfect
