I did mine with the Ammo, SV27 ESC, and EP4200's (12) She got 37.2MPH. With lipo, it would be faster. I did run her with the SV motor at first, same prop & everything else. She did approx 25MPH.

Right on, thanks.....well huh...I bid one out on the bay and have it on the way. It's SV powered and I am gonna run 4s1p lipo.

Can I ask what prop you ran? Don't these hydro's like the Y series of props?

I bought a 120 Hydra for it to run on 5S in my Blackjack and decided to try it in the Llumar on 4S with th SV controller. Ran great , see vids a few postings below.

I got mine today! I bid one out on ebay. Got the boat with SV27 Motor/ESC combo, JR MG Servo, x642 prop, 2100Mah flight power 4s1p lipo..all on the cheap! I have a good Polyquest 4s1p 25c lipo on the way as I plan to race this boat in the SV27 spec hydro class next season.

he addvertised this combo as 40MPH, it's gonna be run saturday or sunday....we'll see

There was an issue with the straight shaft hull Miss bud. It was corrected in the "flex shaft hull" llumar ans elam. Then the later made Miss Buds were "flex shaft" designs. Here's a "flex shaft" Miss bud...

It was mostly handling issues with the prop angle and if I remember correctly, the newer hulls gave you more prop choices.
