I got the slabs cheap, so it's not a big deal for me. I kinda over did it on purpose. Normal velcro strips work fine.

Actually, I am going to remove the battery trays in mine so I am put my one set of lipos in that don't fit now!!!!!

From what I have learned it's better to keep the weight as low as possible. So having the packs down all the way should help with handeling.

On turns it seems a bit top heavy, I may remove the trays at a later date also

Removed the battery trays......err, I mean ripped them out! They come out pretty easily if you pull up on the tray where it is glues to the side of the hull. The cement looks strong but it's brittle. It freed up alot of room and the batteries ALMOST fit flat on the bottom but not quite. A large flat piece of velcro seems a good way to keep them secured.

on my nitro, converted to FE, I also took the servo tray out of the box, removed the box and remounted the servo tray, put my RX in a balloon, Im using the sv set-up, ESC is waterproof, stop the leaks and tape up good, no problems.
it made a hell of alot of room for 6000 to 8000 lipos.
