    Default Leopard 2200kv Motor

The 4074 2200kv Leopard motor is now instock.

I expect more sizes(including the 56mm diameter motor) and kv options in about 1 month or so.

    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...eo-7074-2200kv

I also have the mounts for these instock
    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80600
    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80610

And will have water jackets to fit inbetween that mount in about 2-3 weeks.

    Steve

I have a Genisis with the stock 36mm motor. Do you know if the RR portion of the 40mm mount will fit in the stock Genisis mount ?. If it does , this would make it alot eaiser to up grade to a Leopard or Castle motor.

That is great to know. So i can just buy a new 40mm mount from you, & replace the RR piece when i buy a Castle/Neu or Leopard. Have you tried to mount a Neu or Castle motor on the 40mm mount, to make sure they will fit ?.

Steven, how much do you expect the 56mm motor to cost?

So when are you going to have more water jackets in stock for the 4074? I'm itching to buy a 4074, but don't want to get stuck paying shipping twice.

I have the 4074 2200kv on 4S in my new Insane hydro and all I can say is once I get a higher amp esc for it with the right prop I think I'm going to be knocking on 70mph! With no water cooling after 3 min run with a modded ABC H5 prop motor was 129 degrees! It's scary fast!

I'm not sure to tell you the truth. It looks like a water cooled kontronik 120 but it's not. It runs very good with it but I don't wanna prop up to high and smoke it in my brand new boat. I'd like a hydra 240 or similar esc with more headroom for more aggressive props.

Nice...now I can rationalize what to put in my Insane Hydro when it gets here. I was thinking a UL-1 combo, but the Leopard on 4S looks nice, especially since I have a couple of 4S packs and several pairs of 2S packs.

It's a really nice motor! I drove Tony's with the UL-1 motor and it runs excellent and I had planned on putting that in mine.

But after having seen the speed difference with the Leopard it's kinda hard to change the motor to make it 10+ mph slower!

Can't wait to find a nice aluminum water jacket that fits!

Steve, do you have any other aluminum jackets that fit the 4074? I see that one is made to fit with the mount you have for it but I just need one to work on my insane mount and also your OSE aluminum mount. As long as it fits I don't care about the length.

    Thanks,
    Brent.

I saw it say 1 in stock last night and by the time I was ready to make an order, it was gone. Did you actually have any of these in stock?

Are you sure? I thought the ID for this would be identicle to the specific Leopard cooler, this is just longer.

    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...ham-castle1515

I thought the Castle Neu 1515 -2200Kv had same motor OD as the Leopard???

Am I correct here? I was going to buy this one anyway since I don't use that Chinese motor mount.

    Castle 1515 2200--- 1.57" x 25.4 = 39.878mm

    Lepard 4074--- 39.8mm

    .07mm / 25.4 = .00275" difference, Nada, not enough to be a problem IMO.

The castle motor uses the fins to hold the orings. The leopard has no fins.
