Will you have the water jackets for the Big boys? I know you can get jackets from Leopard for the 40's, but not the big ones.

I like my new 4074 2200kv leopard motor, it pushes my DF 33 well into the 50's on 4s. It runs nice and cool. Looking forward to getting the larger motor also.

I don't have a logger, but I'm running a turnigy 180A marine and it was right around 115* after 3 min hard running, spinning a modded 642. Motor was at 110* and the batteries were a little bit hot at 121* I live in SWFLA and the water temps right now are around 90* so not to much thermal cooling available

    Cool

Battery temps of 120F are not at all too hot. The hotter the cells the more power they deliver, most folks recognize this. I only get worried when my cell temps are exceeding 140F. I try to start my cells at near 100F, safer on the cells and more power as well.

Sweet! I run the 4074 in my mm with x640 4s2p, 44mph temps on the caps 120f and the motor shaft 112F love this motor going to try to use 5s2p that should push me over 50!

The first videos of my Insane hydro had this motor running on 4s and an H6 prop modded with 3.7" of pitch at the cups trailing edge. This got me over 60 mph. Dont be afraid to put a prop on this motor.

Those motors are midrange quality and this is a good idea.
We could choose cheap FSD, Feigao, KEDA motors or high-end NEU, Tenshock and Lehner motors.
Now we can buy good 4 pol motors for a good price

Ran my Leopard 4074 today in my SV27 with swordfish 120, Oct 445 prop, and 4-2s 3600mah (4s2p) NeuEnergy Lipos. Temps were surprisingly low and this motor ran pretty well even when I ran it on 2-3s lipos (3s2p). ESC temped at 129 after running it hard for 4-5 min and motor temped at 98 (using OSE's water jacket for this motor). Temps seemed lower than when I ran a Neu 1515-1y and hydra 120 in the same boat with the same prop. Im not saying this motor is better than the Neu, but so far it seems to be a valid option and a worthy competetor to the others.

I ran mine in delta 33 knock off, went with x445 prop... man the boat flew! Did not have a GPS in it, but it was way better then with x64- I've tried before.
Temps are better (lower) then Castle-Neu. It does seems to be better compare to Castle-Neu considering the price and performance.

I hope the good news about this motor continues! I have sworn off Feigao motors due to failures and my budget won't accommodate very many NEU motors. The pricing is great for this Leopard motor!

Ran my 4074 with 5s2p 3200 venom lipos, x640 prop 2 deg timing, pwm 8k, strut .25" from bottom, about .5 degree angle up on prop end, 51 mph on radar gun (brother was manning that) temps were good around 120 -130 on caps, 115 on motor shaft. Ran it 3 times about 2 min intervals and the motor got to 150F on the last run, not a surprise seeing as i ran it wet! 4s seems to be the limit but with a little tweaking i think i could run 5s

I ran the above setup a few more times and the hottest anything got was 125F, that includes the motor. It turns out the motor got to 150F because i had a clog in one of the lines. The amp readings are still spiking in the 180s but averaging in the 136 to 153 after the initial spike. I am really really impressed with this motor and for only $90 i would strongly recommend this motor to anyone on a budget for speed!

Should be fun to see what we can do with the 5692's when Steve posts them up.

I know they can be had elsewhere...

I will be running a Monster 2000. I have added cooling tubes to and put Conformal coating on it to keep water out. Runs fine on the bench but, I need to get it wet to see how it performs....
