If you meant RIO Ep, I would first try to wiggle it back and forward if it will go. This is very dangerous, though, because you may rip up the hull easy. A superglue debonder may be better try, you can get it from a hobby store. I may end up with mine cutting it off with Dremel ( if previous two approaches wont work )and sanding it down.

It is the Rio EP. I was able to get it off using an X-acto knife. Now I just need to figure out what motor and esc to put in.

I just wonder, what motor mount are you going to use? I will need one soon, that stock is a crap.

Here is my thread. I have a vid that shows the inside.

I first stripped out the ABS with various methods and left any chunks that were determined to rip the hull open. Then I sanded with 220 grit and cleaned with acetone. Sprayed in the M3 glue, laid in CF and fiberglass (didn't have big enough chunk of CF) and wetted with West systems. I got this motor mount and a Feigao 8L (~3000 KV) with cooler. I am using a Castle Hydra, but could probably get away with less. The prop is an X440 and on 2S she does 30 and 3S she does 40mph. Here is a 15sec vid. She is obviously more stable on 2S and I usually run 2p for added weight and run time. Nothing gets over 100F on 2S but on 3S motor was 130 and ESC 140F.

Do you thing that using M3 on whole hull and then wetting it will work well too? Sounds to me like great idea. I am building 16 th scale Atlas Van Lines now and I wont to fiberglass whole hull.
Is that West systems stuff epoxy or polyester? What about those resins they sell in Auto department stores? Thanks.

If you mean using M3 to adhere FG or CF to the whole interior of the hull, ya I guess so, I stopped just where the front of the hatch comes down - doesn't need to go farther than that.

West Systems is Epoxy. for this scale of project, any Epoxy will work, just mix according to instructions and use something that is longer than 30 minute work time.
