I cut a piece of bras tubing to fit between the prop and prop shaft(not sure the diameter) but it takes up the play. I like the 535 better. But they perform very similar.

The octura prop is a 1/8 inch shaft, but it is more expensive plus you have to balance and sharpen it.

That Traxxas Titan 12 turn needs smaller prop for sure. Genraly, less turns = higher rpms. I melted down mine with stock prop.

I think I'm gonna stay away from the traxxas 12turn. I've been reading a lot about these motors in the traxxas slash, and they seem to be very short lived. My original 12-turn lasted 2-runs on the stock prop too.

Mine is still kicking even though its benched. Ran on the stock prop on a 7 cell ran high teens. Even lasted a few runs in a rescue boat pushing the rig system and a downed boat with the stock prop, matter of fact the video in my signature is on titan 12t rescue. Maybe I got lucky and got one that works... I have read alot about those crappin out though

I pushed mine too far with 9.6v nimh. Funny though,I put a 2s lipo in and its fater than the 9.6v nimh. Probably a lot to do with the weight difference though. Hmm.... Maybe I will give the 12-turn another shot. They are pretty cheap!

I believe the are 550 can motors and you can use stock cooling coil.

I'm pretty sure the xl-5 esc is rated for 9.6 volts.

Some nice prop tips guys, thanks. Just bought the Grim Racer 36 x 55 metal prop for my Rio. Should be pretty good with my setup. I have a xl-5 and pro boat apache motor on it running 7 cells and it runs pretty hot after 10 minutes but no problems after 20 or so runs in it. Anyway, here is a vid of it running. Will try and post another vid when I get the new prop.
