SV27R ESC question for GrimRacer or other RKI's

I have an SV27R on order with Tower Hobbies and while looking through their "tech notes" on the SV27R I came across this:

NOTE, if using LiPo batteries the AquaCraft 60A Marine LiPo Ready ESC must be used.

Since I plan on running LiPo's - is this a fact or simply an attempt to sell me something I don't actually need.

It sounds like more of a disclaimer. If you want an esc with a built in LVC, than you need the Aqua 60a. Or you can use a external lvc.

Thanks Steve, that's what I thought. I have an LVC ready to install on the stock ESC.
