Thanks for posting the link (and the new forum) Steve. I think the guys are gonna like this one. Check out the hardware, too!
You know, I was SURE we had video. I'll check into that.

Looks like it comes with a 2.4GHz Tx bound to a MR3000 Rx. Nice!
It MAY not be the MR3000... but it is a Spektrum compatible marine RX. I think it may only be a 2-channel RX. I'll try to verify that for you.
You'll also note that the driveshaft on this one is a standard flexshaft setup, as opposed to the captured stub-shaft setup they've been using. I haven't had a production model in my shop yet, but the stubshaft is 3/16" as well, as opposed to being metric, as in the past. That's what I specified on this one, anyhow. Note that the antenna has been moved off of the hatch and off to the side also, so you don't have to restring it everytime you put the hatch on.
This hull is a LOT wider than the previous CAT offerings from PB, and the hull geometry is "race inspired"... This one should perform all the way around!

Nevermind...looks like the MR200. When the heck did that Rx come out?!? It wasn't there a few days ago.

Looks like the entire hull is sealed off by the "tupper ware" lid. True? If so, good by hatch tape!

I'm not sure... where are you seeing that? I've tested them and they work JUST like the MR3000... they are just in a case, and conformal coated instead of sealed in epoxy. Same range and everything that the MR3000 has, just 2-channels and not the dual-pin-set arrangement... oh, and a LOWER PRICE as well...

Is the motor a 540 size?
Steven,
I just e-mailed you a copy of the Miss Geico Video that is suppose to be getting posted to the ProBoat/Horizon site. Feel free to upload and post it here if it arrives correctly. It's about 9MB, so I'm not sure if my e-mail sent it...

I will get some of those recievers also. Whats the main diff between the mr200 and mr3000

Steven,
The MR3000 is encased in epoxy, and has dual pin sets (for dual motors, dual steering, etc.)... and, of course, is a 3-channel. There may be some adjustable failsafe features in there as well... I think you set the failsafe when you bind it. For example, if you want to have your rudder turn to the right in the event of a loss of signal, there is a way to program that (I believe by holding rudder right when binding???)
The MR200 is conformal coated, and comes in a standard RX case. It only has one set of pins, and of course, is only 2-channels instead of 3. It says the failsafe is "preset", which I think means it's fixed at the Neutral position for the controls.
MR200 is listed at $49.95... so it's a bit cheaper as well.
I've used them in two different boats now and they work every bit as good as the MR3000... same range, etc...

This is way cool!
Somewhere on the SpektrumRC.Com site there is a list of the different names we use for the different types of failsafes. "Preset" means it goes to the position where the trigger/wheel was at when you bound it (ie, throttle to "off").
The official video link will be corrected shortly. Darin's is the same one, I believe.

Vid looks great. Darin, hows the fiberglass on the hull? Is it thicker (stronger)than the BJ was?

Thanks Proboat
Woohoo! Sweet!
Looks nice. It's very cool to see all these new RTR boats coming out!
I'm just waiting for one of them to hit the shelf. The suspense is killing me!

This is a beatifull boat. Thanks Darin for putting out hobby grade products for entry level prices. Everytime I go out to the pond a kid and it's parent asks about getting into the sport. It's a nice thing that now they have a lot of options at reasonable prices.
