Doesnt that mean the right sponson is the one you want planted while the left sponson slides?

That's what I said, FULL SCALE = FULL SIZE. I know there is an r/c scale organization out in Washington State I think that races to the left also.

The e-rcu.com is the correct link.

Here's some shots from the scalehydro.com site of their boats turning left!

Looks really nice, but then you do REALLY nice work always... Will be interested to see how it handles... especially with the break that far forward in the tunnel...

The break in the tunnel is where Roger put it in the plans. It has been run like that on many builds, and on the full size hull!

Have you determined a price for the 1/10 scale 8255 hull kit yet?

The main reason for shaft offset is to counteract torque roll. If turning right, the offset should be to the right. If turning left, it is offset to the left. This is because the rotation of the prop is the reverse depending on which way you are turning.

Well, its been a while since I updated the build thread, but I have beendoing work on the boats. I got magnets installed in my deck and cowling, primed, and the white basecoat with SG100 HOK layed over so I can begin the artwork. If I was making the Miss Houston, I would be close to done! lol. The other two hulls are coming along too. Enjoy, Mike

Jim, Mike McKnight at ProMedia is. He does really nice work, and I think he can get as specific as decals applied at each race in a season! Mike

RACER, Very sorry for the delay! The price for just the framing will be $135 shipped, and the price for framing, and sheeting is $225 shipped, as long as you are in the continental USA. Mike, madaccord@hotmail.com

Got the Medium Blue painted last night, and added more SG100 intercoat clear, so its ready for another 600 grit sanding, and the light blue next, then the dark blue. Enjoy, Mike

    Cleared out....

Ok, so I worked late last night on the build. Got the paintwork done. All I have to do now, is decide if I want to paint the cockpit black, or use black vinyl. Not sure how I feel about black vinyl and its long term ability to stay glued on well. Anyways, I will be scuffing the hull again tonight, adding the decals, and doing the clearcoat. Then in a few days, I will sand the clear flat, knocking down the lines created by the vinyl graphics, then reclearing again. Enjoy, Mike

I have been working on 1/8th scale hydroplane framing plans over the last month or so, correcting all the errors in the plans, correcting the cross member to keelson and engine well fitment problems that I am finding exist in every set of Newton plans I have worked on. Its amazing just how off a lot of the plans are! This enables me to get the new CAD framing drawings laser cut and I am able to offer these kits to you. You will be getting all the framing parts that are shown in the Newton plans. I have a good amount of plans already done and ready for cutting, and many many more plans that I can offer very soon. If you have any interest in a kit, just send me a PM or email to madaccord@hotmail.com and I will give you a quote. Below is a list of the framing kits I have already done. Now, these “base” framing kits can make a variety of boats, so if you see a master hull roster # in the list below, check and see if it might work for your desired hull. I am going to list the exact sponsored hull my plans originated by, so you can use that as a starting point. I will also be offering sheeting kits for a few select hulls that I build for myself, so ask about that if its something you need. Thanks, Mike Luszcz, ML Boatworks (252) 717-6282
