I am looking to up grade my fastec would a feigao 540 8xl and a hifei swordfish 120 make a good set up to run 4s and sometime 6s on. Some day I would like to put it in a Challenger 31". Would this work?

IME anything over a 29" mono would be pushing it. That setup is proven in a 25" delta clone but in a OM29 it's close.

Im pushin a 26 inch paynpak with a 6xl on 3s. An xl motor in my opinion will push that boat as long as the battery prop combo is right.

I'm not saying the motor won't push it. I would go to at least a 150amp esc for the bigger boat so you can prop accordingly.

I am running a Nemisis 8xl with an ETTI 150 IN A 26" H&M and the ESC barely gets warm. I had previously smoked a SEAKING and a TURNIGY 120 A in the same setup. You might want to spend more now and buy it only once. BG

The fastec is 27" long...............an XL motor will push it fine. I'd go 9XL for 4s if i were you. I have a 31" Villain nudging 40mph with a 12XL on 6s.................an XL will really move that boat out well!

THE ETTI 150 APPEARS TO BE VERY RELIABLE. I own two of them and have no regrets except with programming which takes awhile to figure out but once you get the rythmm, it is easy. BG

If somebodys gonna sell me a 180 amp 360 burst for under a 100 dollars id be crazy not to get it it obvious that rite now the most success is being had with the turnigy/seaking 180s. if you worried about the amps I think you better go there. I mean I chose a turnigy hv 80 over a hv 100 because the 80 had more burst amp capability u have to really look at these specs but i bet the mystery 200 will hold up. I have a forcemax 60 in my atlas no problems. A elf hobbys 100 in my pak on a 6xl no problems. So its really hard to say but go for overkill get the 180 turnigy.

I just wish they made a HV 180 for a price like that.

Oh i didnt see what kind u originally said that swordfish stuff looks damn good on their website a 120 with them will do okay but my friend is rite when he says that the bigger amp speedo will give you more prop choice.
