Working on a page for battery options for the SV27. I want to take images of each pack as well make some, but this is a start. Let me know what you want to see on here.
Super Vee Battery Options
thanks,

14.4-16.8 NIMH (2, 6 or 7 cell packs in series)
14.8 NIMH/Lipoly (2 or 4, 7.4V packs in series)
On capacity, I am not sure if you ran say 10,000mah if heat is problem or not.
what i meant to say is what lipo? i go there and i see what you have done but which one will outperform a nimh 4200?
Any one of them that last more than 5 cycles...IMO
lol.how about 3800 than:D
im brain dead, sniffed too much pvc glue today.sjfe which ones are you tryin out?
I havent quite made up my mind. It's gone be a bit. I don't have the equipment yet. I'm 99% sure I'm going to be testing the 14.8v 4000mah packs. I'm going to make an attempt at running them in series on a mild prop.
mild prop:D not you.not even me.look at my avator thats a mild prop for ya
Yeah righ..hahahah who am I BSin....LOL
I wanted to try LiPo's, I just went with the 7.4 3600's 12/16c. They give you a little more amps then the 7.4 4000 10/12c. If I wanted to make a run last 15 to 20 miniutes I would get 4 of steves 7.4 4000 10/12c pack and run 2 perside. Actually taking 2 and seting them up in parrele then taking those and putting them in series. You would have a rocket that lasts 20 min the actual rating of each side (2 packs each) would be 7.4v 8000 Thats on each side hooked together to give you the 14.8 volts going to the esc. OH YAAAA... I would have to look into if the Lipo shield would protect this (I do think it would).

That is a promising setup to say the least. I may do it both ways.
You guys must have been asleep, I had a huge error on the LiPoly section of this page.
If it had to do with pricing...I had a feeling.
Yes, it per pack, not per cell....LOL
Thought so....LOL
Talked to my supplier today and I told him that the packs were doing well. He told me that he is not surprised, the packs are really 4,000 (3,600)mah 12C and 4,400mah (4,000mah) 12C and that he under rated them.
So, I have not tested one.......but he does not tell me stuff that is not correct.
Nice. I only ran them 3 minutes deep on the test. I am going to wire in the lipo shield this eve. This weekend I will set a 2 minute delay on the dpr and time the launch. This way the avarages will be a bit more on the money. First thing I have to do is rewire the esc to a female deans...the make up a parallel and series setups to switch.
Steve that is good to know. If I would have known that I might have went with the 4000 packs. As it is I am happy with how the 3600 LiPos run. I am locked in with alge or I would be running them to get some runs under the belt. When I ran the 3600 LiPos I felt I ran pretty long, I had plenty more to run because when I recharged It only ate up about 50% of the pack capacity. After I run them more I will know but it sure seemed like I got more run time out of them
PS I got the batterys back thanks.
Run down to the local pool shop. Get a 55 gallon drum of clorine..and shock the pond. Problem solved.
If I do that I am sure to get DO crash then the fish will croak. I am getting Tilapia its a fish that eats alge, and I built a areator today and will get it going tomarrow, that should help a lot. If that dont work I can use pond die but then I am getting back into the DO crash because it will kill the alge by not allowing light in. Would be cool driving the boat on a colored pond though. I have plenty of big water here to run but no recovery boat. Wouldnt it be GREAT if TUG that needed a transmitter and reciver and priceed it like 98 bucks.... I would jump on it.......heheh

VAC-U-BOAT my friend. Check out the vac-u-tug. Cheap and easy to build. I think they tow with it. But i'm sure it can be set up as a pusher.
Unreal...! I look and there was one, a aquacraft tug. Sometime if you ask you shall recieve.
