Default King of Shaves paint fail...

Maybe I can get a new decal?

I really can't seem to catch a break with this thing.

Maybe water melted the clear coat or something.

It only has a thin coat of clear over the decals and the clear isn't sticking to the paint so well. There's a few spots where the clear coat is separating and flaking off...

My guess... cheap paint not designed for marine use... I dunno though.

    Grumble... grumble...

Well... I suppose I could spend some time on it. I really hate sanding off cheap paint though... then you never know if the new paint will stick...

I'd be better off with a new blank hull... which is a whole new project... So... I think this one will stay falling apart chipped/peeled nasty till I decide to put it in storage... I found the perfect place too! Jones Truck Rental and Storage

I'm becoming blase about this whole thing. Where do I draw the line?

When is it time to scuttle?

... the port side bearings disintegrated on today's last run.

It was a greasy mess in there. Yep, it was full of grease and metal shavings, I just greased them yesterday.

Yep. I don't know if it's just this one, or if their product is just a really cheaply made POS.

I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they are making it really difficult to do.

First they told me to buy a dented hull at retail... then offered me one at 20% off list, which is more than Tower's price before any Tower discounts.

UPDATE: This situation has been resolved amicably. It just took some convincing and detailed photos as evidence of product failure.
