Please post a Genesis twin conversion thread. I would love to see what hardware, mounts and methods you guys employ to do this conversion.

I think it would work just fine. Just remember, the less volts and more KV, the higher the Amp draw will be. Id think youll be 130ish on Amps with that set up on CR 442s.

There's not much room for a strut hanger on the transom. Looks like if you took the rudder and moved it over, only 3 holes would line up with fiberglass.

Thank you very much, the stinger must be 120mm / 4,7" long

    45mm wide sponson transom
    24mm tall distal sponson transom
    38mm tall medial sponson transom
    99mm sponson transom overhang

It's not looking good for stingers. It's looking like struts, however the transom doesn't have enough room for all 4 bolts if using the same size strut hanger as installed stock.

Also note, the transom is not straight, it is convex curved.

I think that it will be very difficult to find 102mm long stingers for the Genesis.
In that case I' ll use 3/16" Metal Drive Shaft well glued in the hull and a flex between the motor and the metal shaft

Hey Jesse, i think he will have fixed shafts that can sit low by using the flex couplers inside.

Yes, the newer Jolly Cat drives are adjusted from the inside.

So how do you adjust from the inside? I thought they were epoxied in. It would be nice to see an inside pic. I had this set up on several monos and it seemsed fine. Even if they are not adjustable...it is not hard to get them set with a slight neg angle and would be fine. Then just adjust the CG with cells.

    That's a nice setup Alfa!

Why not just use dual struts?

Yeah Ive searched extensively and all the ones long enough have too large a mounting surface and will not work. Your more than likely going to have to scratch build something or run some type of struts. Personally, Id go the scratch stinger mounts, struts and twin cats just dont mix.

I am thinking rcmk hydrolift 1100mm hardware, struts and rudder. Mr. Park said they should fit.
