Default Parts list for an EKOS hull only project?

    ...or and RTR re-build.

Can anyone help build a hardware link/list for the EKOS hull? This would work for the twin motor TLR Apparition too, as they have identical sponson transom & overhang measurements.

Not for an upgrade to the stock, but a complete replacement/new setup.

I have all of it except for the stingers and rudder but those can be gotten easily.

I do not know the stinger length but I have some 70mm coming which seem long enoght to me on my HOR cat and will be modified for 3/16" shafts.

I would run 150 cables if I were you just to buiuld it really strong...or run wire drives. Obviously mine run wire.

I am running a 8XL with 4S in my HOPR cat on 062 wire and bearing strut and she screams. Just testing how the 62 holds and no isssues yet. Running no liner.

    The stingers are 70mm, exactly.

Hey Jeff, let's put together a complete hardware "kit". I'll be the first to buy it! =)

Would that be with 380 XL motors or 540 motors? I ask because it may be a different set up for cables.

I would like to see some 540 motors mounted and 150 cables used to the stingers with 3/16" prop shafts...same as many HOR cats now use.

I probably need to get another hull and build a twin to see hwo things work out for motor mounts, etc.

I'm going with 540 motors and the motors I'm using in this boat have 540 & 380 bolt holes. Fortunately I can use the stock motor mounts. Should leverage the 4mm taps for cooling... There's just enough room for a threaded "L" like these: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=etti-a030

I've got a few projects going on, so if you want to use this hull, you're welcome to.

HOTR has complete stinger assemblies for $35 a side, which includes the 4mm drives, dog, spacer & prop nut. The 5mm-4mm collets are $8 each The 95mm rudder assembly is $18 and the 540 or 380 motor mounts are $3.50 each for basic motor mounts that fit in the belly of the sponsons.

Grand total of about $120 shipped.

FYI- Jeff has the replacement bearings for the stingers.

Miller & Boca bearing have them too, but more expensive ones.
