    Default Twin 540 10Xl HOTR

Daggersfl was in the area today so we got to shot a quick vid. Didnt have but a few seconds as we are trying to get ready for the family Easter thing here at the house. This is its 2nd run. Lots of Ducweed in the water floating about so turns really had to be watched so I didnt get into any of it, but she corners A LOT better than I thought it would have.... GPS didnt record.. it lost signal, but yesterday was 59.7mph. (will shoot another soon for that Proof of Ins) I removed the 6V esc batt and installed the Dim. Eng. BEC that Steven sells. Seems to have worked lovely. The left (reverse rotation) motor ran about 10 degrees hotter than the right... so I gotta figure out whats going on there. It was 137F.. starboard side was 126, batts were 99 and 100F and ESCs were 101 on the port side and 105 starboard. Little fine tuning and its going to be an incredible boat...
    Enjoy

Ran the boat this am... couple minor stinger adjustments... Glued in a strap system under the drivers canopy of the hatch to secure the GPS... ran by myself, so couldnt get a vid. Also ran it w/ my Eagle tree. First time I got to use that piece of equip.. fricken awesome tool!

    Heres where shes at.

Detongued and cupped 442s from Egneg and stepped up form 5000mah to 5800 and ran a 69.8 this am. Im hoping some scuffing of the hull and minor tweaking and I can at least get a flat 70.

Had to share the pond w/ a gator this am. He was swimming away as I got there, and came back as soon as the boat started running. I turned about 8 or so laps then called it quits as he was geeting close. As soon as I stopped, he started swimming away again.

Didnt get to check temps as I got talking to a neighbor and didnt have my temp gauge w/ me. I didnt get the boat in until 20 min or so after I ran it. Things felt pretty warm, but not hot. Id say Im getting close to the "safe and reliable running point" though. Here a couple pics. Hope to get some vids over the weekend.

Oh, dauym, don't mess with the gators. I see silly golfers losing limbs regularly trying to recover their golf balls.

when I see the result I feel like I'm going to spend some money... same hull, same motor, cheap ESC, and a pair of Lipo from HC! Bingo!

I love spending other peoples money. Yup, 2- 120A ESCs from HC, 2- Lipos form HC, 10XLs and water jackets from steven and a bunch of misc. parts. (x2) Still quite an expensive build though.

I think I will go for two 8XL under 4S2P, so that I can use the same motor/ESC's/Batt/prop as my 29" mono!

yeah no big difference between 10XL/6S and 8XL/4S, only higher amp draw under 4S so less run time! more than 2KW in such a hull, crazy we are!
when do you plan to reach the 70mph Tiqueman? man that's more than 110KPH!!!

Id bet about 10mph less on 8Xls on 4S. Just comparing a single drive cat I have that have run w/ both set ups. There was a 9.2 mph difference. But even so... 60mph is fricken sweet w/ this hull.

70... hopefully in a couple hours.

You will be able to. Just be extra sensitive on the steering at WOT. As long as your trimmed right.. it drives itself.... kinda.

I did meet a new neightbor the other night and hes a professional photographer. he just snapped about 100 pics of my BJ26, hopefully he will email me some good ones soon...

Thanks for the compliments! Actually, not to toot my own horn, but I do not believe the gps was accurate on that 59.7. It was down in the sponson burried in cf and took many passes to finally get a reading. W/ out adjustments, I moved it to under the canopy and got 66.1 , then w/ slight adjustments 66.7 I think it was. Now Ive got diff batts and props and shes 69.8. Was hoping for some running today for 70 but it didnt happen. Ill be out of town tomorrow so maybe Sunday I can get her wet again.

No I havent got it back out yet. Been a bit busy and my pond has got duck weed all over it now. Ive got to get to another pond to test it so 5 minutes splashes arent happening.

Im about 1.25 hrs west of Orlando, just south of Tampa bay. I was just there this past weekend. Let me know when your in town next and maybe we can get together.
