I just ran the Smokin Joe's, it is everything I expected. wow look out at the Nats it will be hot in LSH! It is going to be sick, shingles and all.

Will it would be a great little SAW boat for you, it is a little long at 23 inches. the new cowl mold will make it strong for you too.

I not sure what you want to do, I will not let the cat out of the bag if it is what I think.

It will work well with a straight shaft, it is designed to use one.

Just received my Smokin' Joes over the weekend. WOW. Exactly what I was looking for. A durable, rigid, heavy duty fiberglass lay-up. I don't mind the xtra weight at all. I can tell you have a lot of $$ into resin and materials. Thanks.

Your boat is a light lay up. There is a little ruffness around the seam, a little light sanding and fog in the sanding, ready to go.

Pete's boat was not even, a little blotchy color wise. But heavy as hell, a tank to run in rough water. I was afraid it would be too heavy But I know it will work great in rough water.

Mine is the worse of the three but a little paint and it will be fine.

This is what a well packed BBY strut should look like after a days running.

Here's a couple photos of mine. Hull will definitely need some hobby time and finishing (color is blotchy as Randy said), but it's extremely stiff and durable. Very cool.

DUUUUUDE! You've got some great things brewin' up over there namingly the improvements in finish quality.
Your finishes have always been sufficient, but this new stuff you're doin' is smooth especially the gelcoat, and the carbon work heck, All the composites look great!

Hey Bill it was great bench racing with you this after noon, I thought I would get a little more work done but, OH well that is how it goes.

Oh that tool that ASC has it is called a autoclave not sure how it works exactly. What I do know it uses pressure and heat to assist in a lay up and make great parts.

Lets keep it together with our goals for the racing season comming up next year.

Well the end of this year sucks a little. I blew a rod in my compressor pump Friday, ordered a new one to be delivered between Dec 29 to Jan 5.

What's going on Randy? I will be running three classes this year! Sport 20, Sport 40II and now I will be running 1/8th scale electric. I am building the Budweiser T-4 hydro. I'm heading out to Fremont January 15th for the meeting. Got my Winston Eagle running that you built for me, and it is quick.

That hydro looks great! Sounds like you have a ton of projects going on there. Yeah, decided to build a 1/8th with a Neu motor on 10s. Should be a quick one, and it gives me one more class to race in. The meeting is the 15th at 10:30am. Not sure if I am supposed to bring my boats. But I do want to join the model mariners.

I thought there was a size rescriction, so I was going to use a Neu 1527 1.5y I think on 10s. Do I need a bigger motor? I was told it woul hit mid 60s with that set up.

No that is my SAW motor LOL. Just thought I would scare ya a little. The Neu 1527 1.5y is a great motor (it will be real fast). We have a mixxed class running from 6S to 10S I have a Lepard 5692 running on 6S2P for oval.

Neet little trick to help have a flat strut. Hold it down to the table with a C clamp also hold the transom up with wood blocks to correct height, then tighten.
