    Default ESC Turn Limit???

Ok guys I have a spare 15t motor laying around still new in its package and I wonder is it possible to run this with the stock esc? What is the esc turn limit?

I highly suggest new esc, stock is garbage. I burned 2 of them up. To answer your question it is listed at 27t.

I think the weak link on this boat is the esc..

Yea UPDATE I ran this new boat today at the local lake and about halfway through my 4000mah 2s 25C lipo the esc gave out. So when I got home I realized wait a minute I have all the electronics out of my Apache 24 which is under construction right now so I did some soldering and moving of things and came up with this.......

It should do for now in a few weeks I am going to get a VXL3S system from my friend. And i will run that with a better cooling jacket on the motor with a 3s and see where it goes from there!

I think that may be to much kv for a apache. VXL motor is 3500kv correct? Anything above 30mh on a apache I read the hull cant handle. Good luck though, I would love to see if you can get it working right

Cool, glad it is working well for you. After I blew my second one I bought a waterproofed xl-5. A little more $$$ for a brushed esc but sometimes I don't mind paying for peace of mind.

Diesel here is one on a 3600kv motor and 3s everything else besides the esc of course is stock and it seems to be fine to me. Now keep in mind i understand it will need to slow down some before turning sharply but it seems to handle ok here......

    You sure that's a 3600kv motor on 3s and a 42mm prop?
it is faster than stock but not 40k rpm.

I was running a Titan 12t on a 7cell nimh. Hit 19mph with stock prop. I put the stock 550 back in though because I converted it to a rescue boat and needed lower rpm higher torque the stock motor had for pushing a stalled/flipped boat.

You said it was a VXL motor, now its not..
a VXL motor on 3s is a monster!
almost 40,000rpm and on the stock 42mm prop tha Rio ep would fly!

    read post #13 and on..
I don't think the video you posted has a 3600kv motor on 3s, that would be right at 40k rpm and on the stock 42mm prop it would move out real fast
he is posibly using a 2s pack

Clarifying, I'm not sure what that means?
I was asking about the video not your setup, because the video looks slow for a 3600kv motor on 3s with a 42mm prop.
the video you posted that I was talking about looks more like he may have used a 2s pack or even a 6cell nimh pack with that motor and prop

Well I ran it with the current setup with the apache esc and the apache motor and the motor died within two runs on the 2s lipo. So then I swapped in a venom 15t motor I had laying around that was used once before for a run to test in the apache and within one run the apache esc died. Thats just my luck

the venom 15t sucks some amps, and they don't put down much power..
