    Default What Servo?

Ok I just bought one of these Rios that I will be doing a brushless conversion on soon, but first will any of the traxxas digital waterproof servos fit in the stock mounting location on this boat?

Ok guys im probably going to go with this one---http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXXKM7&P=ML
Does anyone know the oz/in of torque on the stock servo? I would assume the traxxas one is more at 41oz/in but I cannot find the specs for the stock one.

That servo will mount in, you may have to make a bracket for it or reattach the wood blocks with some glue. Stock servo is very VERY wek. I stripped the gears inside on accident very easy. What size brushless system you plan on using?

I got a VXL3S ESC from a buddy of mine and i want to use it cause even with a 50c thunderpower 2s and hard runs in his slash it still never got past just warm and also i love the half power reduction when you hit the LVC. So that esc for now and this motor

Would that work? I am only worried about the esc overheating but i guess i can at least try it.

I think that's waaaaaay to much KV for that boat. VXL is cool but your gonna need to find away to cool that thing. Boats pull way more amps then a car/truck so it will heat up. I run a traxxas xl-5 in my RIO but it only makes 1-2m runs if that. It's strickly a rescue boat and its not cooled just the motor is but like i said its only 1-2m.
