240fps camcorder cheap on bay???

OK, looking at gum cameras and I stumble across a high definition camcorder and looking at it. It also has a setting for 340x240 at 240fps! Wow, about 4ms per frame.

This would be great for analyzing how things are working if it picks up fast moving objects like our boats. Or for school items like dropping an egg onto the cement, or a water ballon. tons of cool ideas.

anyone seen this? Trying to find a video of this in 240fps is tough.

the casio ex-fh20 camera has high speed also. Just over $300 and here is a nice youtube of it.

it may be that fast but I am thinking that the quality of the image will be so poor that it'll make things look very hard to see... it would be highly compressed

I have watched some 240fps clips on youtube that look fantastic. Marbles or golf balls shoot through different items, droping water, action shots, all look great.

So I think I would be happy with 240fps at that resolution, just not sure if the images will be clear enough. I will have to join a forum for cameras and see if anyone has samples from this camera.

Will also look to see what else is out there. I know there is a Sony that does great, but it is a $1000 camera. Gonna have to do a heck of a sales job on the wife for that one! Or have her decide that it is needed for her, then she will demand one.

Online it looks great. but on a tv what would it look like?

Steven, it would look fuzzy on TV because TV's are SD size (640x480) or larger...
that would mean that the picture would either have to be scaled up (stretched) or have
borders as "fillers" to maintain the pic the same size. I still think that the compression on them would be pretty intense.
