This is a 1/7th scale FE hydro. Part of the large and growing 1/7th scale FE fleet in the Pacific Northwest. There are already a bunch of Vintage 1/7th hulls racing. This one of the first Classic hulls in the 1/7th size. Power (I think) is a Scorpion 4035-800 running on 8s.

what were speeds? tough to tell cause it is so big! You can tell it has a big prop as the sound is much lower pitch and more slappy. Cool stuff!

Here is another few links, same poster...I believe the hulls are built by Mr. Campbell. I have seen the 7th scales run, in between 10th scale races. Now, they are making 7th scale classes.

The scorpions seem to be the ticket in 8-10s, 7th and 8th scale hulls.

If you ever run a 1/7th, you'll probably not run the little guys as much. The very first time I ran one I took third in the main. They handle wonderfully and you can see them more easily. The combination of size and power is perfect. Fast enough for exciting racing but not so fast that they are always looping, flipping, coliding, etc.

Nice "ol skool" hydros,love them.And let me tell you,good size scale and good scale speed also!!! ...not too fast not too slow,just perfect for them looking real and not trying to brake the speed of sound......Albert
