    Default GPS Placement

In a brushless boat, does the location of the GPS affect the readings when placed next to the motor and ESC?

    Cool

Not in my experience, just make sure nothing besides tha hatch is above it to block the signal. It is a good idea to place the GPS on the CG so that the boat's trim is not effected.

Okay. I do put it in a ziplock bag but I'm getting a reading that I do not buy. Trying to come up with a reason. Thanks

Is it consistently off or just a one time bad reading? They do occasionally give false readings.

Don't put any metal over the antenna as this give a false reading. The clearer the view of the sky the better. Take the gps for a run in your car & compare speeds & distance. This will tell your if it is out or not.

Yeah, I did that in 2 different vehicles and it appears to be right on as well as matching those roadside radar speed things. It was only a one time thing. Just trying to cover all the bases. Thanks
