    Default Aluminum Steering Arm Option

Just wanted to pass this on in case some of you may be interested.

With the release of the big HyperSport 48 Gas Mono, ProBoat now has available an aluminum steering arm that fits the Spektrum, Hitec, and perhaps other servos with the same spline size.

Nice piece for those heavy duty applications.

You should be able to order these from any of your authorized ProBoat dealers...

That's a nice piece Darin! Of course I doubt they will ever make one to fit a Futaba spline! Drat!

For those looking for some very nice servo arms that are not able to use the ProBoat arms there are a couple of sources.

Airwild makes these arms, called "MLP" for minimum lateral play:

they are for use with 4-40 hardware as is typical in gas boats. They are "upside down" so the linkage is on the center of rotation of the output spline. I have been using them for years in big gas planes.

Futaba users can also get nice arms from Tower (picture below):

And Du-Bro actually makes some very strong fiber-filled arms for a variety of servo types:

I've used them on 40% gas planes with good success.
