Thanks.
Thanks.
Today i went on the Kamchia river to try the lipos for the first time - awesome speed, double than Ni Mh. Will post video soon. Speed was enough for the operator to lose it off sight.

The boat seems to be running great - you did a good job with the setup.
IMPBA 20481S D-12
That looks more like it, now it looks like it's chaseing a storm, nice work.
are you going to upgrade your hardware soon?
I must have been looking at the wrong vid when you asked me about how fast your running,
well after seeing this vid i'd say somewhere about high 36 and 38 and maybe low 39,
my best is still 39.7 and still playing with set ups.

With Track Stick Data Logger the result is 92.6 km/h - about 50 mph.

WOW!!! What am I doing wrong?
What do have your programmer set to?
mine is on
lipo
timing on high
cut off high
set to slow down
I wonder if I should set it to idle not slow down.
on slow down it saids it will run at 50% power, is that when the batterys start to run down or is that at 50 % power all the time, if that is the case then thats why its only running at 38-39 mph, what do you think?

My card is set to :
Li-Po
Cutoff voltage- High
Cutoff type -slowdown
brake- off
timing -low
throttle - linear
But: i had my stuffing tube broken down from the hull when the securing bolt of the u-joint was loosed and broke the hull from the vibrations.
After the repair i put the new prop and WOW what a speed.
Also after the repair i have more space between the tube and motor - about 5 or 6 mm moved to the transom i think.

Ok thanks, my timing is set to high vs yours at low, I guess i'll keep playing w/strut, prop, and cog and see what I get.
I'm running 5000 mh 40-50c lipos
stock motor,esc
lowered trays
x642 prop
no tupperware
speedmaster hardware.
why I cant reach 40 mph I havent figured out YET !!!!!!!, but I will
This is so nice ! I followed "tiqueman"s advice and removed turn fins.
What a surprise
Way better control at all.
Now i can make turns in wide open throttle without slow down every time .
Thank you friends

Yesterday was a great day for the BJ. I moved the cog back a little bit, made a strut adjustment and cupped the prop a bit. She ran 42.7mph from what was 40.1. Super happy with it.
x642 detongued and cupped
(2x) 2S 5000mah 40C Turnigys
OSE hardware
no turn fins
stock motor/ esc w/ UBEC
No tuperware
lowered batt trays
extra flotation
epoxy laminate hatch
Wheres your strut and hows it set (ie neutral, neg, pos)?
Just has a slight kick of positive and the strut is as high as it can go in the factory slot. This position on a S/B/DT and C x642 produced 42.7mph. The picture actually shows it a tad higher as I elongated the strut adjustment slot, but I lost some mph so it has to be moved back down.
Thanks a lot mate
Will change my setup as yours and will try asap.
But as i can see from the picture , you have some kind of bushing out of the strut (between the strut and the drive dog ???) What is that made for?
In my setup the drive dog is exactly after the strut?!?

No bushing or anything there. I think your just looking at the shaft. I see in your picture you do not have that gap. Make sure your running a few mm gap between your strut and the drive dog. This gap allows for the cable to "wind up". Looking at yours, as the cable winds, its pulling the drive dog into the strut and going to cause a lot of unwanted friction and rob you of speed and power and eventually something will fail.
Awesome.. no need for the teflon washer. You can ditch it
I just came back from the lake
She is flying
Big thank you to "tiqueman" for the information.
Just two clicks to the positive angle and it is a totally different boat. But today i realized that if i keep WOT in all the way turning (does not matter left or right) she is stable as rock solid Water was perfectly calm like a glass.
And last of all i made a cover for the hull

Glad to hear yo got it all worked out. They are pretty fun boats once you get all the faults out of them.. Still not perfect.. but much more fun than out of the box. You will find that when running w/ someone, it will want to roll over now and again... Ive found if Im running against another boat, if I move my cog just a tad forward, it will help it stay planted.
