I didnt get to watch the entire video yet, but will tonight. But I love the onboard videos. I'm waiting for someone to put one on their race boat during a race heat. What camera did you use?

The camera was 30$ gum camera from ebay(it fits inside gum wrapper). It included 4gb micro sd card too, so not too expensive... -it shows too ,-the timer/counter on the right bottom corner shows what ever numbers the camera wants at that moment
,but I just put text over it on the vids so not that big of a deal.

There´s few cams that looks the same, just get the 30fps one

I also use flycamone2, but the picture quality is not that good on it.(for the 80$ I paid for it, you could get 2-3 cheaper and better ones.)

Jesse, this is the esc we used.
    http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-bru...l?cPath=293_51

No extra cooling or anything else done to it, well other then adding Deans and soldered wires to motor.

We just placed a new order from OSE.

-7-cell battery(this needs more weight in the front and 2s lipo was too light)
    -3-bladed props.
    -grim grease.

Hope that the winter stays away for a while, so we can test these too!

Sailr, it was really dark, and the onboard video was much clearer then video from outside the boat was. I did cleared the picture a bit, so on this video the quality is not too good, but the boat is visible.

It was really cold, so the lipos lost their best punch.

Soon the z-drive will have trim/tilt adjustments from radio too!

Peter, if you got the flycamone v2, I have that also. The image quality is not that good as the gum camera I used on this video. I have used both only in low light conditions, so it may be a different story on sunny days.

The 25fps is low ´ish too for fast boats(most likely will shake a lot) -but do try! I may be wrong.

It does have more natural colors, but the video is too dark.(atleast on dark winter days here)

Flycamone pack that I have has waterproof "dive box" that I plan on using next summer for underwater video of rc boats!

Here is a smal sample clip of the both cameras.

Flimed at the same time, gum camera 30fps and fc1 25fps, my editing software did not understand the difference, so the boat looks to be moving at different speed.

I´ll try them both onboard next time!

Usually the 640x480 30fps VGA is going to be the best video. The rest is lens quality, etc. You also want to record in AVI. This is the least compressed format and will give you best video.

    I would buy this one.
