Was it driver error or equipment.

BTW I have 3 spek radios and about 10 rx's. All work better than anything else I've used in 25 years of playing with rc.

Funny, at our club races I have seen an Airtronics M11, Hitec Lynx, Futaba 4pk, and Spektrum radios all hit the shore at one time or another.

Since I had my Spektrum 3R I only had one glitch and the lake we were at happened to be next to a police station.

If you actually watched the video, you'd see he's using an "antique" radio - you know, one with a great big long pointy thing on it.

The cause of this flight were the esc's.
At that time he was testing some experimental 300A Scorpion esc's.
They went "full speed" without any logical explanation.
After that he went straight back to good ole German electronics.

btw : TX was a multiplex profi car.
RX with Failsave, programmed in the right way. and working.
The only thing he did after the crash was replacing the esc by YGE esc's. 100% no problems.

Gerwin, with that boat and cost, I would have never gone with an experimental ESC, my 2 pennies.

Well, beeing an HPR hull, it had barely any damage :-)

But wouldn't try them also if it was my boat.

    Man that's depressing!!
Funny thing on 2.4 i seen some videos a while ago for the 1/8 nitro buggy nats and i had to laugh more drivers where using good old FM radios than 2.4 maybe the pros know more about 2.4 than all the hypes about?

Wow I'm amazed also, I guess not being able to see the "after" one could only imagine what was left behind the hill.

HPR vs tree...HPR wins. I've never seen one of these hulls before. That's impressive!!!
