    by definition a 'cat' is a hydro, yes? so which classes allow stepped hydros? thanks

    All FE classes - in both IMPBA and NAMBA- that allow cats also allow steps on them. These include:

    IMPBA
    Hydro
    Tunnel
    6-Cell Enduro

    NAMBA
    Hydro
    Offshore
    LSO

    oh good. just got the plans for the 'xs-cat' today...and didn't want to build myself out of possibly racing it. toying with calling it 'Ball bearing Mousetrap' :) thank you for the info.
