Be sure to bring the video camera & someone to film it on her maiden voyage.

Well here she is, she's ready to hit the water(hoping to go tomorrow). I still need to do some minor finishing things. For my first wood boat I'm very happy at the way it came out.

Thanks Diegoboy. I ran her today for about 5 minutes before the chop became too much. I am very happy with it. I need to level the strut out a little, the stern keeps trying to come out of the water completely.

Man that looks nice, can't wait to finish mine. does the pheniox controller work with a pistol grip radio? I couldn't wait for the hardware or esc and glued the top together, hope that wasn't a mistake lol. I just wanted to build it.

Yes. I run mine with a JR pistol radio, no issues.

It should be okay. just a little tighter when accessing the transom.

K, do you think that the mamba 25 would be a ok speed controler? Or should I just run a phenoix? I think I could find the mamba cheaper.

The only difference between the Mamba and the Phoenix is that the mamba has reverse.

Ok, I think I might get the mamba 25 because my luck I will get it stuck in the weeds and could use reverse to get me out. I'll post some pics later of my progress

Mamba 25 did not work with my 400df. I was told that the switching rate was to slow...

I wouldn't try reversing with this boat, the stern sits very low in the water as it is, never mind adding the water that will come splashing over it when you reverse.

You got a point there, well I guess I'll just go for the pheniox.

I got bored so I made a boat stand, out of some scrap 1/8" balsa. It Looks ok, needs a coat of paint. Its nothing special but it will work.

I'm really wanting to build a nice PVC setup for all of my boats, but we'll see
