    Default Tenshock motors

    Steven,

Have you ever considered carrying some of the bigger Tenshock motors?!
The Germans are using them with great success. I've only read good things about them. They are not the typical cheap Chinese motors, but are cheaper than NEU , LMT and the other big names.

The TS 2240 6 pole looks very nice, and I've recently discovered they have an even bigger one the TS 2250 series which are also 6 pole motors.

    Could you look into this?!
    Thanks!

Actually, the cost in the U.S. would be about the same as NEU and NEU has the market here. We have looked at it as the SOLE DISTRIBUTOR for Tenshock in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, etc. but it just isn't economically feasible for us. Our cost is similar to that of our cost for NEU and then we must pay expensive shipping from China. The NEU motor is proven in the North American market but Tenshock is virtually unknown. It would be almost impossible to bring in an unknown motor and expect to compete against the NEU at close to the same price.

If you would PM me and give me an email address, I will contact Tenshock on your behalf to get you a list of European sources for their motors.

    Good luck!

Certainly not cheap. I think I would stay with NEU for that.

    Shame there pricey!

If there little motors are anything to go by, then id say there a really good motor.
Ive put one of the tiny tenshock motors in my minicat hydro and although rated at 4600 kv, ive been running it on 3s and waiting for it to explode spinning near 51,000 rpm, but it just wont let go!!

    It absolutely flys!!

Tenshock makes the best "China-motors" by far.

They are GREAT motors, but for the American market they would be too expensive when compared with the NEU motors. They are also an unknown quantity in the American market. We are inquiring of our factory about the new 45mm motors however.

Hi Sailr, i'll pm you the link the price is high, but not higher than the rest of their product line.
One thing is sure, they're firmly on the German market, their main website is under construction, but the German site is done already.

We can, we also try to be respectful to Steve and not link things from other sites, that he sells.

I appreciate that, but also like to know when my pricing is not competitive.
Distributors are not always giving us dealers the same pricing. Sometimes I see other sites selling an item for a retail price of not much more than my dealer cost. When that happens I can go back to the distributor and twist his arm to lower my cost. Or at least say to him, what the hell is going on.

How can you tell? Did you find a site that shows them taken apart? Just curious. Maybe I don't understand?

Despite these rotor wrap missing issues, if they're issues at all, these motors have good reputation in Europe. If you have any German friends ask them what they know they might be able to tell you more.

There is some real quality stuff starting to come out of china , just not big on paying $200+ for a 36mm motor
