Peter, I have a 1527 1.5d w/OSE can I'll be attempting to put in a Genesis catamaran. Do you have a mount that would work?

I think I need more of an angle out of the motors mounting position.

    This is the application:

If you make your own stringers to bolt the sides of the mount to you could mount it at any angle you want , the picture doesn't show it but that mount has the sides drilled and tapped for setscrews

Which mount is this? Looks like the flat bottom mount only the pics don't show it can be mounted from the sides. Was that a custom request? I'm looking to do something identical to that with a 1521. Pics shown in original post I'm linking below.

    Johnf,

Mate the mount is for the Neu 1521, 1527.
It comes as a flat mount with mounting holes on the lower sides .

I used 4mm carbon plate to make a angled mount for the CNC mount to sit on.
I then checked the carbon mount into the floor of the cat and glass it into place.

The CNC mount sits on the carbon mount and is held in place with 4 bolts.
Came out very strong, and also looks good.

A couple of pictures to show you what i'm talking about.

Thanks for the info bonewar! Looks fantastic, as do all your other projects. I couldn't see any holes in the pics punisher posted to mount from the side like you did. I'm looking for a nice way to mount a 1521 in the insane hydro I'm having built. If you check out the thread, markf has a 1527 shoehorned into his. Looks like the motor just tucks into the hatch. Tight on clearance from what the pics show. I'm hoping this mount set up like yours would fit under the hatch.

Sorry Peter its a mono. DF41 its shown here with a 2215/2y and ESC is a Schultze 40/160.

Edit: I mentioned ESC "Plate". I prefer the Heavy Duty mount you have with the water cooling tube braces built in to the motor mount. That looks sweet.

That option was only specific to the cat flat bottom mount but could easily be added to the V-mono mount also

A 3060 in a 41" mono is bordering on overkill..............I like your attitude

    Hello Drwayne

if you are talking about the optional ESC plate that sits on top of the mount it is a shade under 2"inches wide , the 1521's go in the basic medium and the base width is 2.75"inch but I can make that whatever width you want

If you need two I should be able to get to them sometime late next week hoping that is not an inconveniance . Prices are on the first page + $7.50 to ship anywhere in north america
