    Default Motor Mounts

Hey guys , by popular requests I am going to advertise my mounts here , Steven also thought it a good idea . I will apologize if they are a little pricey but they do take a lot of time to make .

Some youtube video's of the build process , I have since gone to a .25 bit for the smalls bringing the build time to just over 2.5 hours for the basic mount less ESC plate

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRscUpsFGgc

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSDUaDG_Gfo

    These are the small mounts they will accommodate Feigao's , Medusa's , Neu's from a 1512 to a 1527 . these will work with a 4" stringer and are 3/16 in thickness

    SMALL MOUNTS

    basic mount = $50.00
    ESC plate = $7.50
    Shipping = $7.50

    CUSTOM

I cannot give a price on these since it will depend on what you need and how long it takes to design and make , some previous requests below

1st picture was for Jesse J's outrageous dual motor Intruder

The 2nd and 3rd picture is a Racemechanix Engineering designed mount , I have to say it is one of the nicest mounts I have had the pleasure of machining . it will work with a Neu 2215 or 2230 motor just the frame connectors would need to be adjusted for length .
Price on the 1/4 alum units = $90.00 + shipping
Price on the 3/8 alum units is $115.00 + shipping

4th picture is also a Racemechanix Engineering design but for a 4" stringer and the Neu 15XX series motors and price is $65.00 + shipping

    5th picture is a 2215 low mount 4.0" stringer

Peter, as usual crapy workmanship, awful music choices and dreadful video presentation

How long did it take you to write the code for a mount?

can you make these with say a 10-15 deg angle on one end? im looking at fitting a 1527 in a mean machine and cant put rails in it due to the low profile cowl this would be perfect if the back of the mount was higher for a downward angle for the shaft to flex union.

If you give me what hight you want the front and what hight you want the rear I can work out the exact angle you will need............

It depends on the mount Douggie , the larges can be up to 3000+ lines of code , designing a new mount can be very time consuming

The beauty of Peter's mounts is that they are also versatile. The mounts for the intruder were designed for 1515 cans, but since I had to sell them to buy beer, I have been using Proboat motors and the mounts still work!! these motors are shorter, but the mounts had holes in the right places and they hooked up nice. Can't wait till I get a real job and buy me a pair of NEW NEUs for the "Duchess".

Great work Peter and you don't charge enough $$ for your time and diligence!!

    Hi Peter,
i would like a mount for a mean machine aswell, to suit a 1518 NEU.I tried the mount you made me last month for the 1518 but its better suited to a mono.
Your flat bottom mount with alloy angle bolted to the sides so you glue two hard wood bearers to the hull,so you can screw into from the top would work nice(easy access to the mounting screws)
Many thanks for the two mounts you sent me last month

Craig......I can make an addition to the mount G-code and have the side mount arms machined as part of the mount , would you like that better

    Default Hydro / tunnel mount

    Peter,
If you use the alloy angle on the side you wont have to use the 4/5mm rods to align/join the two motor plates, if you use two screws per plate(front and rear) per side(8 in total) it will make it a lot stiffer.Just my thoughts but i see your design will also work, just worried about surface area for thrust load? And the angle will hide the wood mounting blocks glued to the hull
