Yeah its been shut down for a few hours now.
Not sure when it started, but when i checked the site for the first time today a few hours ago it was shut down.

We'll see how long it takes for it to get back up and running again.

RRR stays hacked, every time I go there and click on pic it ask for a password. Why would you hack a rc boat forum? To much time on some peoples hands.

The problem is forums are relatively easy to hack due to a loose peer-to-peer security.. If a good security, spamware or malware program is in effect, these tirds usually move on to the next one..

I went here all day long and had no problems, why go to the hacked part...

    http://rumrunnerracing.com/feforums/....php?do=getnew

on the same note, impba.net has been hacked or they have malicious software trying to install stuff on my machine... be careful.

They hack your site to get access to the mail section and then they spam everybody using YOUR site's email address as the 'from' address. Nasty stuff. I had one site so infected I had to shut the site down.

Do not sign in that window, it's the last hacker's work to get your user/pass

There's a lot of good info there. Don the owner is a fellow Floridian.

So once someone (one of these sleazeballs) hijacks the site how do you go about getting control of it back?

We have to retrieve our information and rebuild the sight, not an easy or cheap undertaking,

    Default Man............

Well I heard the site was hacked (again) and it is tough, we do not have a "fulltime" administrator, once this blackmask thingy got in it has gone downhill, we are trying to get it back and with little loss of info but as Rod says we want to close the loop as well, there is a ton of info we do not wish to lose or make everybody upload pics again, etc

that said just got back from the Nats and it was a blast!!

keep the faith brothers we will be back up shortly..

The RRR site is still one of the best FE sites and it is hosted by a family who love FE boating. I owe that site a huge amount of gratitude, as many members gave me the correct answers to my newbie questions

I think I asked Donnie one time and it was GoDaddy. But that was a long time ago.
