    Question Hardware for BJ26 ???

There is some one which has tests this hardware system with BlackJack 26 ?

For 69.99$ that seems a good choice.

    Thx for your help

That is Steven's OSE hardware, and yes, I have it currently on my BJ26. I am very pleased with it so far, getting runs of around 44mph on my GPS with turn fins angled on 20c lipos, very stable, no rattle.

Bab - the bolt pattern is not compatible with the steerable outdrive pattern. You will not find any hardware (Fullers, etc) that is compatible - all need at least two holes to be drilled. For this OSE hardware, the holes will need to be slightly wider apart as well as higher on the transome.

You will also have to do some work on your stuffing tube as the strut will end up very close to the trasome itself (no clearance for extra length of copper tubing or teflon liner to poke out). This makes adjusting the strut height slightly harder and limits strut height movement to about 7mm up or down from the stock tube position (more than enough for me to get the height right).

My BJ26 is at the cottage right now, but when I get a chance i'll put up some pics for you, ok?

My pleasure - as would be expected from OSE, this hardware is very well made and should do nicely. I look forward to hearing about your experience with this as well. Cheers,

Hey Bab...I am struggling with uploading photos...at least I put one pic up as my avatar though I doubt it's big enough to be of any use. Is there a way to put photos up without using a URL address?

Hey Yanick - I live in Canada too (london ontario) but unless you're way north, I wouldn't expect ice on the lakes before January. So no excuse - let's see the video haha.

Hey guys i have a question. I was thinging of buying the same set up but whats needed to use it in the BJ26? It dosent look like theres much room for the flexshaft to attach to anything. How is it done?

Part numbers? Links? Pictures of one compleatly installed? Any of these would really help me out!!

    Thanks, Slim.

Okay i got another question lol.

    1) Is the flex cable/prop shaft that comes with it all one peace?
    2) Dose the "Lead Teflon Bearing Sleeve" fit inside the stock brass tube on the BJ? Or do i have to install the one that comes with it?

Sorry for the newbie questions, this is my first boat. I crashed it and now im doing it up my way! Im just having a little trouble with the hardware tho.

    Hi Slim

You need to by only the OSE hardware kit
    http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80085

The flex shaft & the prop shaft came assembled
The Lead Teflon sleve is already install on the hardware prop shaft older

Does anyone know when the anodized black OSE inline hardware will be in? I see that there are plenty of plain aluminum ones that i could paint but the anodized ones would hold up better. I want two of them for my boy's for christmas, we are going to be painting the BJ's this winter (with plenty of pictures for a nice thread) and the black hardware would be killer!!!

    Thanks Rob.
