Jan, may I ask what hardware you are using, as I have purchased one from Brian and I have never run a shovel design hydro. I will use an SV27 motor and ESC as I already have that power setup.

    Thanks,

    Sure Douggie...
I don't know what hardware it is... I think the strut is Aeromarine, but I am not sure about the rudder and assembly.
    I'll take a pic
An SV motor setup right will yield a lot of fun...

    Douggie,
She's on the way. I'll send you a list of parts and setup tips this weekend.

    Jan,
    That's a speedmaster standard 21 rudder that's cut down.

Glad you like. I try to build something that I'd be happy with if I was paying for it.

I'll get you measurements in the morning. I still feel like garbage, this bug is lasting way too long. For that matter, I may be back at the doctors tomorrow.

OK, with a SV27 motor and ESC, 4S power what would the bald idiot from California and the refinened gentleman from Washington recommend for hardware and cog etc. Tony you are excluded as you are running a piece of foreign crap, unless you say I love American products 1000 times

    Default DH Shovel Q-Sport

    Hey Brian,
Your DH shovel holds the IMPBA Q-sport SAWS record as well.
Wonder if I could get 8s into that little hull. LOL

Paul, remember that different props require different strut height settings relative to the lift characteristics of the prop[s].

IIRC, the S220 is comparable to an X645. Maybe even closer to an X545.
