    Hi Paul
I was reading an article today about the Bluebird is going to be fired up and run again soon. New jet engine in it but they only plan to run it around 65mph, not 300. The article popped up on FB but I couldn't find it again to get a link.

    H Pete. Thanks.
I knew that the restoration was nearly complete. But I didn't know when the first test run was goung to be. I'll see what I can find out.

A bit more done on the K7.
Fitted the motor, strut, rudder & driveline.
Glued & screwed on the sponsons, then added the balsa leading & trailing edges to the spars.
A bit of filler, sanding & primer. Now she's ready for the famous Bluebird blue paint.

Computer is finally fixed, thanks to fellow boat racer, Pete.
So now I can post a bit of progress.
Finally got a coat of blue on it. It's actually a hi temp brake calliper enamel. Nice tough, glossy paint. Straight out of a rattle can.

I'll sand it back & give it another coat. Then a test run.

    There are many pictures there.
I found browsing the web. They do not belong to me.

    Hey buddy.
It hasn't changed much from the last post. Pathetic really.
But I have found a pilot that will pass as Donald Campbell. All I really need to do is glue him in, & glue the canopy on. And add a bit of aluminium trim paint on the sponsons & the exhaust cone.
Then it is a matter of adding all the hardware & motor etc back onto the boat & she'd ready.
It's just that so many other things keep getting in the way. I will make a concerted effort to finish it before I start the next boat.
