I have tons of footage from several past events if I could just edit it and load it up. I was considering putting them on DVDs for people that wanted them. I have shootout video for the last 10 years. DAvid Callan did it 2 years ago at 209 but that was with turbines. Dave uses Sterling piston power.

Yes, Bud dropped many of their sponsorships....but not with a bunch of pain from Missouri folks not drinking their beer anymore since the sale of the company.

David is just over the hill from me at the lake....oh and his neighbor is Steve Miller....yes the musican.

I hear ya....many jobs were also lost in St. Louis because of it. People that had been there for many years. Next will be the Cardinal Stadium beer sponsorship which would be crazy but it could happen.

Thats not the old Bud Select boat is it? That takes some serious power and $$$ to get a piston powered boat to 200mph

You should go down there. John Cosker is a super guy. He has most of my video, especially the one where the rudder broke. We were about 60' from the boat when it broke lose. My youngest was already up the hill.

Powerboat just reported they were 2100 hp each. They are alcohol burners. Here are a few oldies. I will upload some bud select at the dock.

Yes he kept it in control...wish I had gotten the rest but was too shocked and killed the video as I was ready to run. 50' of boat at 200mph with twin turbins covers a football field pretty fast.

Also, I was zoomed in a mile when you first see the start. He had it trimmed up so high I either thought he would lose it or blow over. We think that the high trim put so much rudder in the water that the force broke it. BIG latham rudder which was SS.

If you go to my youtube you can see a few more. jwohlt5362.

Or www.rcraceboat.com and go to the bottom to "Real Boat Videos"

One day, somebody with some real money is gonna put a brushless system in one of those hulls. At scotts power-levels, that's 1.566 megawatts, each. I'd like to see that controller.

Jeff, that was NAUTI!!! Thanks for the link. Our scale models are sweet, but the real deal.... just nothing like them.

Could you imagine what that would sound like as a brushless boat.

Wow, that must take some serious tuning to run alcohol in the water. Are they using seawater to cool it or is it a closed loop system? I cant imagine how they would keep those engines warm enough to run right
