3600 on 4s would get too hot too quick, but would be extremely fast for a saw type run

Even with water cooling it would get too hot?

and like I said 3S so hopefully they will work together well and give me some great speed.

Well on 2s that motor will have twice the rpm of the stock motor and will run cooler on 2s... possible 30s
    but 3s it would ripp!
hope nothing heats up to much on 3s

So, I Picked up my Rio EP today but I didn't realize it didn't come with any batteries and unfortunatly I don't have any batteries besides 3s 1300mAh and I was wondering if this would just be too much for the stock motor?

its only a 1300mah battery so the amps wont hurt but the volts may?

well it's a 30c 1300mAh so that could still be too much. I just don't know. I hate to have to wait but I might have to wait until my new equiptment comes to run it.

    that's only 39amps!
not all that much, the volts could be the issue, not sure how long the esc will last on 3s

I guess I'll just wait for the upgrades and not chance it.

I was taking a look at the Rio Ep and I was wondering if anyone has worked out how to get into the waterproof compartment without damaging anything? That is besides just using the removeable clear cover.

I withdrawl my question. You can get to anything through the opening the clear plastic piece covers. Just in case anyone else would wonder.

Hyrule in my post "Rio my thoughts" I mentioned that I tried this boat first with a 2cell lipo and then I ran a 3cell 3000mah 30C. This woke the Rio up. I ran the boat for about ten minutes and everything was still fine. I plan on running this boat with a three cell until something smokes, but I think this esc can handle 11.v no problem. This is my opinion.

Use clear electrical tape on the hatch and it will seal up all real nice

I havent as I have a deans connector on the battery and the boat has those white clip connectors. i have to find a spare male deans to install before i can do that. I did however find an old battery that will work.

So, I was looking at the motor and the size of that area. I was wondering if a motor mount that the brushless motor physically screws into is going to be neccessary because of the increase of power. Since, the stock motor only has a bracket that goes over top of the motor does anyone have any suggestions of a mount that would fit?

So far as I can figure, the holes are about 50mm apart.

Also, I was wondering if 2.85 per cell is too low of a voltage cut off. I'm asking because an ESC I found allows you to choose the cutoff voltage and they allow you to choose between 2.6/2.85/3.1V per cell.

The stock mount should work just fine with a 540 can..
and the lipo cut off, I would stay with the 3.1v setting and no lower.. IMO

As long as your motor is at a minimum 36mm in circumference it will mount using the stock parts. My brushless is 36mm and would not fit snug in the stock mount. I had to take the cooling coil sleeve and slide that onto my brushless and then into the mount and it snugged up perfect. I then took the cooling coil and carefully tightened it so that it would fit onto the brushless motor. I posted pictures on the "Brushless soon thread"
