    My battery is...
    1-5/8 W
    3-1/8 L
    5/8 H

Mine is a tight fit because of the built in balancer. The battery recommended (on the website) fits much better. I have to put the discharge lead into the nose of the hull, because where it wants to sit naturally (on the side of the battery) will be far too tight, but it will fit. I find it easier to work with by putting that discharge lead in the nose.

Those reinforcement pieces were put there by Steve to close the breach in the tub hull.

This is one of the accident pics

Notice that the rear Carbon Fiber sponson boom is snapped apart. Had to be a big hit to break CF.
Ouch, That must have made a pretty sweet sound. Im still waiting to hear back from him on this, but I will keep you posted

I'm building mine right now, and I'm stuck. The rudder bracket, is it flush with the side of the tub and the bottom of the tub?

I'm really surprised at how easy this is so far. I cant wait to run it.

The HW package is only sold by OSE & Fields. (from post #6). The reason they are both out is because the mfg is low on the "Strut". You could purchase each part individually from the list on either site, then try to find the strut somewhere else.
Just a suggestion that I'd try rather than wait.

Yeah it sucks I ordered one after reading this thread and watching the vid. A great little project. The struts are whats out of stock, emailed Steve at OSE and asked him if the minicat hardware would be good but he said he could not recomend because he doesn't know if a .98 flex is to small or not. A pitty realy as the look better.

that strut is the one you guys need. Be sure that he has the stock, I heard his bin qty is not accurate.

Just take your time, especially on the sponsons.
Other than that it is very easy.

Hi, I just bought the renegade kit as well. I have the tub mostly done and I'm still working on the sponsons. This boat looks really fun. I am waiting for the hardware kit as well. I think I want to buy another one after I get this one done. What other motors will work other then the 400 one that I got in the kit? Thanks for all the tips and pics.

Any kind would serve the purpose. As long as water beads up, and doesn't absorb into the wood, you're okay.

I never really gave that one much thought, I asked Steve the same thing so we'll see what he says. I'm sure it just a matter of size and weight.

They are all like that. If you have questions, you can ask us here or as the instructions state, you can contact Steve E.

Just as Diegoboy said, don't hesitate to ask Steve any question, no matter how trivial it may seem. He's very great on customer service
